Description of Events

We hold several regular events throughout the week as well as other periodic opportunities to learn, grow, and worship.

Latrea:

Meaning worship in Greek, Latrea is our weekly student-led meeting in which we come together to share in God's goodness and explore His truth through worship, prayer, and discussions. Feauturing contemporary worship music, various speakers, prayer, discussions, and scripural study; Fridays at 8pm in Balustein 211

Small Groups:

IVCF members meet weekly in small groups of four to five people to pursue personal growth in Christ through in-depth Bible discussions and personal relationships with other group members; a chance to develop frienships with other Christians and grow in faith through tackling hard questions and personal spiritual issues; Time and place determined individually for each group

Rides to Church:

Rides provided to Groton Bible Chapel, a non-denominational church located in GrotoT; visit http://grotonbiblechapel.org/ for more info; services are at 8, 9:30, and 11am-sign up for emails about church rides!

Fellowship Meals

A chance to meet new members and hang out with fellow IVCFer along with a delicious homemade dinner! Ususally held at the Unity House once or twice a semester. Members volunteer to cook, bake, or entertain.

 Annual Events

Welcome Picnic:

A gathering in the beginning of the year traditionally in the arboretum;a chance to get reacquainted, meet new members, and start the year off on a good note. Food and games guaranteed!

Fall Retreat:

A weekend at IVCF Toah-Nippi Retreat Center in Rindge, NH ; features a guest speaker, worship, individual campus time, and personal reflection; an opportunity to meet other Christians from universities in Connecticut and Rhode Island and spend a weekend devoted to God

Spring Break Mission Trip (KRUP):

A week of service and renewal. We join other colleges in the northeast to travel to areas that need help. In the years of 2009 and 2010, we will be heading down to New Orleans. Check out our pictures on the Gallery Page.

Other Events

We frequently participate in community service projects like visiting nursing homes, working at soup kitchens, and doing maintenance on campus. We also participate in activism groups such as Students Taking Action Now: Darfur.
